687,786. Windows. HOLOPLAST, Ltd., and QUICKTHO (1928), Ltd..June 5,1951 [June 5, 1950], No. 13987/50. Class 20(iii) Two sliding panels 17, 18 e.g. windows or doors of a batch are movable apart or towards one another in a vertical direction in the same plane to open or close an aperture and are intercoupled by chains 37 so that they counterbalance and move in unison in opposite directions. When open the panels pass into recesses between panels 21 carried by the unit 1 which may be shaped to be associated with the building units described in Specification 546,089, [Group V]. The rods 42 by which the chains are secured to the lower panel pass through extensions 33 removably secured to the sides of the frame of the upper panel. The lower panel is also provided with removable side extensions. The panels can be removed from these extensions and so removed entirely from the unit 1.
