[Also in Group I] A sliding gate or door structure comprises a gate or door proper 8, 9, 13, 14 which is slidably mounted in guides 6 carried by uprights 7, 15 and is adapted to be secured to a post 11 by hooks 10. The post 11 is slotted to receive the hooks and carries split sleeves 17 which are vertically adjustable by means of clamping screws, see also Fig. 5 (not shown). The horizontal bars may be formed with continuous longitudinal ribs which project into the guides 6 and three or more sliding bars and guides may be provided. The members 8 need not form part of the gate proper, in which case the gate is provided with projections which are secured to or formed integral with the lugs 12 carried by the member 8.
