Abstract

1,168,807. Telescopic doors; latches. M. B. ABERG. 3 Nov., 1966 [12 Nov., 1965], No. 49423/66. Headings E1J, E2A and E2M. A vertically sliding telescopic door comprises resilient channel section members 1 which taper towards their lower ends. Downward movement of the members 1 may be limited by inclined members 2, 3 at each side of the door or by steps on the members. The sections 1 may be counterbalanced by a weight or spring-controlled shaft to which they are connected by cords 5 wound on drums 6 of various diameters. The webs and/or the lower edges of the channels may strengthened. The door may be locked in closed position by a spring-controlled pivoted latch 12 which cooperates with an opening 3a in the inclined member 3. The latch has a toothed edge 12a and a projection 12b which cooperates with a stop 3b. (For Figures see next column)
