Abstract
796,945. Window blinds. RASMUSSEN V. B. K., [trading as RASMUSSEN & CO., V. K.]. Sept. 17, 1956 [Oct. 4, 1955], No. 28399/56. Class 20(3) A blind 10 used in conjunction with a window sash 4, 5, 6, pivoted about a central axis 7 within a fixed frame 2, 3 mounted in an inclined roof 1 is accommodated in a box 9 removably hinged at 8 to the outer face of the upper member 3 of the fixed frame, the blind being drawn, by first pivoting the sash in an anti-clockwise direction to the position shown in Fig. 2 and then, from inside the room, engaging the ends of a blind bottom rail 12 in a selected pair of a number of notches 14 formed in bars 13 carried by the lower ends of the two sash stiles 5. The sash upon being returned toward the closed position, in the direction of the arrow 16, Fig. 2, draws the blind down over the outside of the window. The blind instead of being of the roller type, Fig. 2, may be a venetian blind, or a jalousie 17, Fig. 4, which is wound on a roll 18 and is operable by a pull cord 19 passing inside the roof through a hole 20 in the upper frame member 3.
