The casing or shield 11 of a roller blind 6 forms a horizontal intermediate box dividing the window into glazed areas 1, 2 on either side, the intermediate box consisting of profiled members 3, 4, 4a. As shown, the profiled bar 3 carrying the glazing 2 is hinged at 9 to a stationary profiled bar 4 mounting the glazing 1 and where the bar 3 meets the outer stationary profiled bar 4a a resilient seal 8 is provided and the bar 4a has an inwardly-projecting rib 5 forming a water collection channel. The lower end of the blind 6a carries a drop-bar 6b guided in guide rails 7 and when in the closed position of the blind abuts through flexible tubing 6c against the end of the bar 4a. Thermal insulation 3c partly lines the casing.
