Abstract
516,751. Windows; doors. WELSTEAD, C. E., WICKENDEN, J. J., and WELSTEAD, Ltd., C. E. July 8, 1938, No. 20331. [Class 20 (iii)] The sashes b<1>, c<1> of a double window, or the leaves of a double door, are mounted on pivots b<2>, c<2>, and are interconnected by a link d so that they move in unison. In the case of a window, the pivot pins are so disposed that the outer faces of the window panes may be readily cleaned from inside the room. The link d may, as shown, be screw-threaded into sleeves d<1>, d<2>, pivoted to brackets d<3>, d<4>, fitted to the sash frames. The screw threads are of opposite hand whereby, on rotating the link, the overall length thereof can be adjusted. The pivots may be vertical or horizontal, according.to the type of window or door.
