Abstract

1375693 Slidable window SASHLESS WINDOW CO Ltd 31 Dec 1971 [2 Oct 1970] 46913/70 Heading E1J A window assembly includes a fixed glass 20 mounted either between two adjacent mullions or between a mullion 18 and an adjacent jamb 14 of the window frame and at least one sashless glass 26 slidable in a plane placed from but parallel to the fixed glass between a first position in which it closes the aperture between a mullion 18 and another adjacent jamb 16 and a second position in which it is opposed to said fixed glass 20, the space between the glasses being such as to permit access therebetween of a hand for cleaning purposes; and drains 38, 39 communicate with a reservoir 40 in the cill. The reservoir has an outlet 42 covered by a flap 46. Seals 32 and locks 34 are provided for the slidable glass. The mullion 18 may have a ventilator 36. The window may include a fixed, central glass with a slidable glass on each side. Each glass may be a double-glazed unit.
