670,291. Casements. PERSSON, E. S. May 23, 1949, No. 13743/49. Class 20(iii) A window, or glazed door, frame 4, Fig..1, having a sash or sashes 2 on one or both sides, has parts of the frame formed with angular corners 10 to accommodate the corners of a movable screen or blind 6 mounted in the frame while the remaining parts of the frame have rounded corners 7 for the reception of rounded corners of the sash or sashes.. The window, or glazed door, frame, may have sashes 8 and 9, Fig. 5, hinged to the oppositesides of the frame such that the outside sashes open outwardly and the inside sashes open inwardly, the blind or screen being disposed between the sashes. The frame may be divided into a number of parts in the plane of the frame such that, for example, the section with square corners forms one part and the section or sections with rounded corners forms the other part or parts. Grooves or guides may be provided in the frame for the reception of the blind or screen and a protective hand-rail may also be included in the frame.
