Abstract

1,159,159. Double sash windows. S. E. PERSSON. 12 Oct., 1966, No. 45687/66. Heading E1J. A double sash window comprises outer and inner sashes 1, 30 pivoted together at 11 and each formed by a U-shaped channel member forming the bottom and the stiles and closed respectively by top rails 16, 32. The top portion of each top rail overlaps the U-shaped member and the depending portion 19 or 50 fits between the legs of the U, being secured by vertical and horizontal screws respectively. The window is pivoted about a horizontal axis and encloses a Venetian blind.
