1321248 Covered door and window frames/ structures J L NETTELBERG 5 Oct 1970 47316/70 Heading E1J [Also in Division F4] A window or door structure including a wing, e.g. the double sashes 1, 5 pivoting respectively about hinges 4 and 8 has the head 10 and jambs 9 of the main frame each provided with a facing or covering profile 11, 12 which is of U-form in section and embraces the front portion of the jamb 9 or head 10 being formed at the inner side with a portion 13 or 12b preferably of U- or V-shape in section, so that it covers only the front portion of the jamb or head and is spaced outwardly from the frame to cover the front portion of the sash 5 forming an air pocket 15 or 17 in front of the space 16 between the sash 5 and main frame. A covering profile 26 for the sill 23 has likewise a projection 25. In this case the lower rail 5 of the outer sash has a covering profile 24. All the covering profiles 11, 12, 24, 26 are spaced from the items they cover. A ventilating duct 18 (see Heading F4V) is provided in the header.
