Abstract

667,007. Windows. IDEAL CASEMENTS (READING), Ltd. Feb. 1, 1950, No. 2667/50. Class 20(iii). A double window comprises spaced outer and inner frames 10, 11 of Z-section steel each divided by a horizontal bar 12 into two sections. Glass 14 is permanently secured in one section of the outer frame and either a glazed sub-frame, not shown', or a sub-frame 16 carrying a fly-screen 21 is removably secured in the other section of that frame. One section of the other frame is provided with a removable glazed sub-frame, not shown, and the other section of that frame is provided with a completely removable pivoted glazed hopper frame 30. The pivot is formed by one flange of the bottom side of the Z-frame 30 resting.in a channel 31; opening movement of the frame 30 is limited by a stop 37 on a rod 36 pivoted to the frame 11 engaging a bracket 38 on the frame 30.
