Abstract

676,610. Windows. PERSSON, E. S. Feb. 23, 1951, No. 4467/51. Class 20(iii). To provide space for mounting venetian blinds &c. on a movable window sash, one member, e.g. the top member 5, of a sash 2 is made of metal, the other members 6 being made of wood, said space being provided on the inside of a pane 4 which is retained between flanges 7 on the member 5. A double sash, Figs. 5, 6, comprises a metallic outer sash 9 which is hinged at 17 to an inner sash 12 having a metallic top member 11 and wooden side and bottom members, both sashes being carried by horizontal pivotal mountings between the wooden members 12 of the inner sash and a frame member. Packing 18 is provided between the upper metallic members of the two sashes.
