Abstract

636,264. Windows. TOTH, L. Aug. 8, 1947, No. 21884. Convention date, May 15. [Class 20 (iii)] In a sliding sash window wherein rattle and draughts are eliminated by resilient members secured to the side stiles of the sash and engaging the sides and bottom of the channels in the jambs of the stationary frames, means are provided for adjusting the resilient members so as to vary the closeness of the engagement thereof with the jamb channels. Several forms are described; Fig. 7 shows two such forms one being applied to each of a double hung sash. The upper resilient member comprises a plastic strip 180 ; the lower a metal strip 208. In both forms adjustment is provided by a screw 114.
