Abstract

827,082. Windows. HILLS & SONS Ltd., F. Dec. 16, 1957 [Sept. 15, 1956], No. 28271/56. Class 20(3) A window frame comprises top and bottom frame members 10, 11 of the same cross-section providing a longitudinal channel 14 which is engaged by the tongue 16 of a weather strip 15, a window board or sill 17 being secured directly to the bottom member 11. A foot stop 18 is also secured to member 11. In a modification, Figs. 6, 7, the window is double glazed with panes 28, 29 the sash parts 20a, 20b being connected together by hinges 30 and clamped by removable locking screws 31. A sliding stay 32 holds the panes steady when they have been separated.
