Abstract

320,175. Mann, G. W. Aug. 10, 1928. Double and multiple hinges. - For casements which may be hinged about either of two axes for normal opening or for reversing the window for cleaning purposes the hinge comprises a flap B which is attached to the outside of the window sash frame and an angle-plate B<1> attached to its inside edge, the flap A secured to the frame being pivoted to the flap B by a plate hinged at D and C. The window normally opens about the hinge C, and about the hinge D when the window is reversed for cleaning No fastenings are required between the flaps.
