Abstract

679,006. Fuel-injection pumps. SILBERSTEIN, V. Feb. 26, 1951, No. 4591/51. Class 102 (i) A fuel-injection pump comprises a cylinder 1 in the form of a sleeve containing the pump piston 4, provided with the usual control surface controlling an inlet port 7, and a tube 2 having axial and radial bores 3, 17 forming the delivery passage. The cylinder is rotated by the arm 10 to vary the amount injected and moved axially by the arm 12 to vary the time of injection. The piston 4 is actuated by the cam 22 and the camshaft 23 through gearing 27, 28 and 30, 31 drives the tube 2 so that fuel is distributed to the various injectors through passages 16, fitted with non-return valves 18, and pipes 20.
