Abstract

678,633. Stoppers. CEANDESS, Ltd., and STEVENS, C. A. April 3, 1951. [April 5, 1950], No. 8536/50. Class 125(iii). In a closure cap a having a washer slidably mounted on a stud e depending from the inner side of the cap and which effects a liquid-tight seal with an annular seating i secured to the receptacle neck, a sleeve of rubber or like material is situated around the stud between the washer and the inner side of the cap so that when the cap is closed the sleeve seals the clearance between the stud and the washer. The washer shown consists of an annular sealing member f secured between two metal discs g which have a central hole through which the stud can pass and are held in position by a cotter h and the cap is hinged to a fitting secured to the receptacle.
