Abstract
665,813. Reservoir pens. MABIE, TODD & CO., Ltd., JOHNSON, L. W., and SEARS, E. S. Feb. 9, 1950, No. 3317/50. Addition to 621,822. Class 146 (iii). The ball-point pen described in the parent Specification is modified to provide a better initial supply of ink to the ball by increasing the ink-contacting area available to the ball. The ink-feed tube c is slotted at d at the ball end thereof, Figs. 4 and 9, and also the surrounding sleeve f, Fig. 9, may be recessed at f<SP>1</SP>. In a further form, instead of recessing the sleeve, the thickness of the wall of the tube c may be reduced to provide a recess between the tube and sleeve adjacent the ball. The end of the tube c may be set at an angle to facilitate writing.
