Abstract

779,761. Reservoir pens. MABIE TODD & CO., Ltd. Aug. 29, 1955 [July 13, 1954], No. 20459/54. Class 146(3). A reservoir pen has a feed-bar 6 provided with a taper that fits a correspondingly tapered bore 10 of a holder 9 and is retained therein solely by friction. A rib 11 fits within a recess 12 in the holder. The angle of taper of the feedbar and tapered bore is preferably between 3 and 5 degrees. In a modification, Fig. 6, the feed-bar 6 is tapered rearwardly and forwardly from a plane intermediate its ends to form parts 6b and 6a to correspond respectively with the tapers of the holder bore and nib shank.
