662,435. Cartons or boxes. ALLBRIGHT, F. J. June 2, 1949 [June 4, 1948], No. 15191/48. Class 18. A carton is made from a one-piece blank, Fig. 1, cut and scored to provide a base 1, side walls 2, 3, 4, 5, top flap portions 6 and an outer top flap portion 7 having a tab 10 with an enlarged head, e.g. of arrowhead form, for insertion in a slit 12 formed at a line of weakening between the side wall 2 and an extension 11, the slit having a straight central portion to accommodate the neck 16 of the tab and downwardly turned ends to provide locking means underlying the head of the tab in the final assembly, Fig. 4. The walls 3, 5, may have inwardly foldable, notched, interlocking extensions 8. Specification 20040/12, [Class 18], is referred to.
