Abstract

176,936. Walmsley, W. E. Jan. 7, 1921. Boxes made from special blanks; powder distributors.-The end flaps of a tubular carton are cut and scored as shown in Fig. 1, the end flaps 10 having extensions or wings 11 so that when they are folded inwards they form heads countersunk into the body portion, Fig. 5. The flaps 14 are scored at 22 so that they can be folded down over a pair of the wings 11 and the flaps 16 have extensions or wings 17, 18 which fold down over the other wings 11 and upon the end portions of the flaps 14. The pair of parallel scorings 20, 21 of the flaps 10 are spaced apart a little less than the width of the box. The flaps 16 may have two, three, or four wings. The ends of the flaps 14 may meet when folded inwards. The box may be perforated at one part, for sprinkling out the contents.
