Abstract

197,482. Hunt, R. March 22, 1922. Folding boxes.-In a folding box having an outwardly folding bottom d<1> and inwardy folding ends b, c and in which flanges o on the ends lie on the bottom of the box when in the erect condition, the flanges o have a portion attached to the body of the box so as to fold partly therewith and partly with the ends. The box is formed from the three blanks shown in Fig. 1, the end portions d, f of the flanges o being stuck to the portions e, g of the body blank a and notched tongues on the ends engaging in slits n in the adjacent sides a, a'. The box is preferably erected by cords p passed through holes h, j in the flanges o and holes i, k in the bottom d<1>.
