Abstract

302,849. Hunt, R. March 27, 1928. Folding boxes; battens, strengthening. - A collapsable box is formed from a single blank with the ends arranged to fold inwards and the bottom outwards or vice, versa, and a loose strip or plate of cardboard &c. is provided to lie flat when the box is collapsed and to maintain it rigid when erected for use. The box may be constructed from the blank described in Specifica. tion 223,400 or from the blank shown in Fig. 1, in which the parts 4 form the top of the box and the ends 3 are arranged to fold inwards and the bottom outwards on the lines 7. The. end flaps 5 are secured to the sides 2 and the loose plate A, Fig. 2, falls or is pushed on to the bottom when the box is erected.
