Folding boxes; lids; corner joints.-The box described in the parent Specification is modified (a) by forming the end parts with two grooved members 1<a>, Fig. 1 secured to the insides of cardboard blanks 1, the side members of the wood frames of the parent Specification being dispensed with and extensions 1<b> being provided on the blanks 1 which are bent or folded over and secured to the side walls of the box, which may be of wood or like material and (b) by forming extensions 1<b>, Fig. 4, to the ends of the cardboard blanks forming the sides of the box of the parent Specification, which are folded over and secured to the ends of the case.
