645,217. Gun recoil apparatus. TRIGGS, W. W. (Aktiebolaget Bofors). March 5, 1948; No. 6886. [Class 92 (i)] The ring 2 carrying the gun trunnions 3 is mounted for resilient movement with respect to the gun cradle 4 which slidably supports the recoiling gun barrel 1. The resilient means shown comprises Belleville spring washers 19 supported by split resilient rings 16, 18 having inclined faces engaged by corresponding inclines on a forward extension 6 of the gun cradle and a rearward extension 13 of the trunnion ring.
