Abstract

644,749. Wave-guides. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Sept. 8, 1948, No. 23622. [Class 40 (viii)] A wave-guide 1 required to be continuously evacuated passes through an enclosure 2 connected by a pipe 5 to an exhaust pump. The guide has in its walls a number of non- radiating slots 6, 7 which facilitate the passage of gases from the guide whilst inhibiting the flow of high-frequency energy into the enclosure.
