Abstract
679,902. Wave-guides. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Jan. 19, 1951, No. 1491/51. Class 40 (viii). An E-type corner for a rectangular wave-guide has the outer angle of the corner cut off symmetrically by an amount sufficient to give a clear, straight passage through each limb of the corner, without interruption by the outer wall of the limb, a plate 8 being provided for closing the aperture thus produced, and the inner angle of the corner 9 is chamfered off so as to reduce the wave reflections at the corner to a minimum. The primary object of this construction is to pass machining tools through both limbs of the corner.
