Abstract

675,118. Wave-guides. METROPOLITANVICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. Sept. 20, 1950 [Nov. 8, 1949], No. 28625/49. Class 40 (viii). An electrical wave-guide system having an E-plane corner between two sections of rectangular wave-guide, is provided with a narrow conductor extending parallel to the E-plane across the outer corner to minimize reflections. As shown, a plate 8 is placed in the corner between guides 1 and 2, its edge 7 forming the effective conductor. Alternatively a wire may be stretched across the junction along the line of the edge 7. Two conductors symmetrically disposed about the centre section of the guide may also be used.
