Class 40 (8) An E plane Tee junction between wave-guides 1 and 2 of rectangular cross section has a rectangular metal block D inserted into the fed guide 2 to extend across its whole width, the block having a depth not greater than one third of the depth of guide 2 and a length greater than the depth of guide 1. The junctions of the walls of the guides and the adjacent corners of the block are rounded to improve the transmission. Specification 678,632 is referred to.
