Abstract

692,308. Wave-guides. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Feb. 20, 1951 [Feb. 28, 1950], No. 5028/50. Class 40 (viii). An electric waveguide switch comprises a conducting member which can be disposed in the wave-guide so as to contact opposite walls of the guide, and thus divide it into two guides of such crosssection that substantial attenuation of power results. In the construction shown, the dividing member 3 is inserted through a slot 2 in the side of the guide 1. In another construction, the member 3 is hinged inside the guide to one wall, and can be pivoted into contact with the other. Specifications 617,919 and 648,882 are referred to.
