Abstract

1326594 Waveguide transitions SPINNER GmbH ELEKTROTECHNISCHE FABRIK 16 Sept 1970 [26 Sept 1969] 44289/70 Heading H1W A waveguide transistor suitable for connecting an oval guide to a rectangular guide comprises a rectangular waveguide section provided with opposed impedance-matching recesses 2 in each broad wall. The recesses extend from one end over a portion L1 of the waveguide length, and have corners 3 rounded e.g. by means of a milling cutter during manufacture. The oval section guide is connected to the input recessed end of the coupler and to the output end is connected a rectangular guide which may be of different cross-section from that of the coupler.
