633,567. Pipe connections. DE LAVAL SEPARATOR CO. June 6, 1947, No. 14987. Convention date, Jan. 19, 1940. [Class 99(i)] A flexible tube is connected to a stall cock of a milking machine plant by pushing it over the tubular outlet 1 of the cock body, the end of the tube engaging a lever 13 to lift the valve member 8 off its seat. The lever is cranked, is fulcrummed at 14, and has. an inclined edge 16 projecting through a slot 17 in the outlet. A forked end of the lever engages a groove 19 in the valve stem to which it is secured by a tongue 20 engaging within the loading spring 9. The hose end 26, Fig. 4, has a ferrule 27 which engages a sealing washer 30, and an electrical connection may be effected through cable 24 and wires 28, 29 and a spring contact (not shown) on the cock which engages a metal collar 25.
