Abstract

1,001,324. Valves. P. A. GARDNER. Sept. 18, 1963 [Sept. 18, 1962], No. 36707/63. Heading F2V. A valve comprises a barrel 10 having an inlet duct 14 for connection to a fluid supply pipe 28 and an outlet duct which receives a threaded connector 16 whose inner end forms a valve seat and whose outer end receives a flexible pipe 21. A valve closure member has a hexagonal head 24, which normally engages the seat under the action of a spring 15, and a valve stem 26 which extends into the hose 21 whereby bending of the hose tilts the valve member to open the valve.
