Abstract

1435961 Valves DOVER CORP 12 April 1973 [17 April 1972] 17701/73 Heading F2V An automatic shut-off dispensing nozzle differs from that described in British Patent Specification 1,332,500 in that the main valve closure member 16 and the secondary valve closure member 31 which produces the Venturi effect are both aligned on a stem 24 and are provided with respective seats 21, 35 by a single element 22. Member 31 is slidably urged towards member 16 by a spring 34 accommodated in a chamber 32. The member 31 is also provided with passageways 33 such that the Venturi effect causes a reduction of pressure in the chamber which reduces the effectiveness of the spring 34.
