Abstract

1392944 Valves SOS CONSOLIDATED Inc 21 Aug 1972 38911/72 Heading F2V A valve comprises a valve member 42 spring urged to the closed position to act as a check valve, the valve member having a stem 46 the end 47 of which may engage an adjustable stop 60 so that the valve may act as a throttle valve (as shown), the adjustable stop being movable on to the valve stem when the valve is in the closed position to lock the valve closed so that the valve may also be used as a shut-off valve. The valve member is guided by two fixed guides, one 38 formed on a valve seat 32 and the other 54 on fingers 52. An indicator 76 gives an indication of the position of the stop 60.
