Abstract

1293643 Valves ROBERTSHAW CONTROLS CO 1 June 1970 [2 June 1969] 26360/70 Heading F2V A lift valve member and stem assembly, comprises a cup-shaped member 32 assembled over the end of the stem 17. A valve poppet 24, having a closure part 28 for co-operation with a seat 14, is retained in the member 32 by a portion 41 of the circumferential wall of this member being staked into a recess 30 in the poppet. A spring 22 urges the end of the stem into engagement with the poppet. The assembly allows the valve member to accommodate to misalignment between the stem and seat. The poppet is of plastics material and has a guide part 26.
