Abstract

1281447 Mixing SEMPERIT AG 11 March 1970 [12 March 1969] 11552/70 Heading B1C [Also in Division F2] A valve has a valve body with a frustoconical portion 10 co-operating with a conical seat 4, and a projection 11 extending from portion 10 through a bore 5 connecting seat 4 with a mixing chamber 6, the end of projection 11 being flush with the wall of the chamber when the valve is closed. The valve may be operated pneumatically, hydraulically, mechanically, or electromagnetically. A guide member 9 may have either a sealing ring 12 as shown, or grooves in its outer surface allowing communication between valve chamber 2 and space 17 to minimise pumping action on closure of the valve. In this latter case rod 8 is of smaller diameter and engages a sealing ring in cover 7.
