Abstract
179,083. Geert, M. van, and Victory Constructions MÚcaniques Soc. Anon. May 18, 1921. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Fluid - actuated valves for water - heaters. - A valve device for control ling the gas supply to a geyser and actuated by a plunger in the water conduit has the valve spindle in two sections adjustably connected by a threaded sleeve. The valve member 6 has a facing 7, and is prevented from rotating by a rib 26 on the casing 1 engaging a slot 27 in the valve member. The actuating-member 18 ha.s elongated ports 19 and is provided with a slot 25 to engage a fixed pin 24 to prevent rotation. The upper part 11 of the spindle has a lost-motion connection with the plunger while the lower part 12 is screwed to the valve member. The adjacent ends 11<1>, 12<1> of the two sections are oppositely threaded and engage a coupling-sleeve 22 provided with a notched flange 29 adapted to be secured by a spring finger 30. The same finger secures a similar flange on a nut stop 23 mounted on the upper section.
