[Class 35] A stator core subject to distortion by the magnetic forces between the stator and rotor is supported in and by a frame structure at diametrically opposite sides of the core only, the core being spaced from the frame at all other points of its periphery. As shown, two projections 22 are formed at diametrically opposite points on the stator laminµ by welding or as integral projections on the laminµ, and the pack is then forced into a bushing 18 previously pressed into the casing.
