[Class 35] In a generator'with two or more rotary permanent magnets co-operating with a stator core, the magnets are so arranged that they are end to end, with unlike poles together, when they are in a position in which they are passing the least flux through the stator. As shown, a hand-driven generator for. telephone circuits has the magnets 10, 11 between yokes 14, 14a connected by a core 15 carrying winding 16. A commutator may be provided on one magnet shaft if continuous current is required.
