Abstract

754,430. Core constructions for dynamoelectric machines. RADE KONCAR TVORNICA ELEKTRICNIH STROJEVA. June 11, 1954, No. 23728/55. Divided out of 754,361. Class 35. A stator core 6 comprises angularly staggered packets of square laminations so arranged as to have axially directed grooves 7 in which ribs 10 are horizontally embedded for forming a welded frame. The laminations have at their corners apertures 4 and notches 5 located as in Fig. 1 (not shown). When the packets of laminations are staggerly assembled as in Fig. 2, the grooves 7 are formed by the alignment of notches 5 in the staggered packets. The latter are held together by two end rings 12 welded to the ribs 10. A cage-like welded skeleton housing is then formed by welding to the extremities of the ribs 10 two flanged rings 11, one at either side of the core 6. Preferably, the whole assembly is enclosed in a removable cylindrical jacket 15.
