Abstract

102,406. Schroeder, G. Feb. 11, 1916. Frames; yokes.-The framing that carries the stationary magnetizable core 8 is constructed of cementitious material such as reinforced concrete. In one construction, the feet 1 and lifting-lugs 3 are made of cast iron machined for fitting on the bed-plate, and the concrete is moulded around three reinforcing-rings 5 joined by cross-bars 7. The feet and lugs are formed with dovetailed pockets to receive the concrete, and the bars 7 are provided with grooves 11 to receive dovetails 12 in the laminµ of the core 8. The rings 5 have prongs 6 at their edges. The laminµ are held between end plates secured by keys to the bars 7. The stator is surrounded by a sheet-steel casing 15 provided with openings 17 for cooling-air.
