Abstract
603,255. Cores for dynamo-electric machines. HOOVER, Ltd., and WHITE, A. W. Oct. 4, 1945, No. 25831. [Class 35] The laminated core stack A of a dynamoelectric machine is clamped by rivets D and is supported by one or more plates C interposed between consecutive laminae and extending beyond their periphery, the rotor bearings H being supported by end caps F embracing opposite ends of the stack and secured in position by bolts G passing through the stack. The embodiment shown has a single central plate C, the inner surface of which is circular and approximates to the inner contour of the laminae. The plate, which may be laminated, is usually of steel or soft iron, but may be of a non-magnetic material for double stator machines. Several plates may be used and these bent to form feet if desired.
