Abstract

821,612. Supporting dynamo-electric machine cores. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. April 26, 1956 [May 3, 1955], No. 12801/55. Class 35. In a stator with the laminµ carried by axial bars in turn secured to axially spaced transverse frame plates, the axial bars are slotted tangentially in the regions where they are secured to the transverse plates to provide radial resilience in the core support. As shown, segmental laminµ 14 are dovetailed on to bars 12 which are carried by frame rings 10 insulation being provided between the laminµ and the bars. Each bar has a slot 17 under each ring 10 to increase its resilience, the slot extending transversely of the bar from side to side. The slots 17 near the core ends could be omitted.
