Abstract

Pole-pieces, cores, and yokes; casings, frames, and supports.-The field magnet of a dynamoelectric machine is made up of laminations pressed together in one or more groups 6' and with rods 4 passed through holes therein and secured to end brackets 9, 10 carrying the rotor bearings, and is secured to a bed-plate 14 by means of eye-bolts 15 round the two lower rods 4. A sheet-metal cover may be provided with its edges supported by the end brackets and its ends secured to the base-plate. The laminations are assembled by pressing them on to a cylinder.
