623,091. Fluid and thermally-actuated valves. LOMAX, W. July 27, 1946, No. 22396. [Class 135] A gas-heated water boiler of the type which supplies either boiling water or hot water below the boiling point has the water supply valve E maintained closed by the supply pressure in the chamber d<SP>1</SP> acting on the head e of the valve, and opened when the water is boiling by a diaphragm or bellows G bearing on a shank e' and controlled by a thermostatic device, e.g. the capsule g' placed in the annular inlet chamber C in the boiling compartment B. The valve has a pin f<SP>1</SP> and groove e<SP>3</SP> connection with a screwed handle F whereby the valve may be opened to supply hot water below the boiling point.
