Abstract
609,767. Cores for dynamo-electric machines. CHANCE BROS., Ltd., and ALLISON, A. March 21, 1946, No. 8799. [Class 35] A thin sheath is held in a stator bore by an assembly of annular laminµ having apertures opening on the inner periphery of the laminµ, these apertures forming passages to receive plastic material for securing the laminµ together. As shown, the conductor slots between teeth b are closed by a laminated ring d to which a stainless steel sheath f is bonded by plastic material forced into ducts provided by the apertures d. The sheath is sealed to two end covers to form a liquid-tight stator enclosure, and is supported beyond the stator core by non-laminated rings placed on each side of the ring d. Some of the apertures e may open on to the outer periphery of their laminµ.
