Abstract

587,205. Machines with permanent magnets. MILLER & CO., Ltd., H., and SMITH, W. R. Dec. 6, 1944, No. 24357. [Class 35] A dynamo which may be mounted on a cycle hub has the armature disposed within an annular magnet assembly built up from separate radially disposed magnets secured by a side plate or side plates with air spaces between the magnets, the outer ends of the magnets being connected by a yoke ring. In the form shown, from which the yoke ring has been omitted, the side rings a are slotted to correspond with the spaces c<1> between the magnets c to which they are soldered in a jig. Specification 568,864 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
