Abstract
611,715. Cores for dynamo-electric machines. WATSON, F. (Aktiebolaget Elektrolux). Feb. 28, 1945, No. 4982. [Class 35] A stator has wound salient. polepieces in engagement with an annular mounting frame of non-magnetisable material while the ends of the polepieces remote from the air gap are interconnected by a detachable magnetic ring. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the stator of a cycle lighting magneto comprises polepieces 18 secured in spaced relationship by anon- magnetic member 20 which may be cast about the pole shoes and has projections 24 extending towards the yoke ring placed about the free ends of the polepieces when the windings have been placed in position. In the form shown in Fig. 7, non-laminated polepieces 18 project through holes in the annulus 20 and are drawn tightly against the yoke 27 by screws passed through the latter. Applicable also to machines with wound rotors.
