Abstract

601,565. Cores for dynamo-electric machines. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Dec. 5, 1945, No. 32910. Convention date, Dec. 6, 1944. [Class 35] Stator laminµ are secured together by ribs 8 in grooves 3 in the periphery of the assembled laminµ, the bifurcated ends of the ribs 8 interlocking in curved notches 6 in each of the non- magnetic end rings 4, 5. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a modification wherein the laminµ are embraced by a non-magnetic stamping with end ring elements 9 integral with rib elements 10 occupying axial grooves in the core pack, the edges 12 of the stamping being welded together after it has been sprung into position. Projections 14 space the ring portions slightly from the outer laminae. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
